East Coast Trip Part Four

After Bar Harbor, ME we went to Boston, Massachusetts for several days. While in Boston, we walked seven miles of the Freedom Trail throughout Boston stopping at in order of this list below. When we first went to the U.S.S. Constitution, the oldest ship still commissioned in active service with any navy (since 1799) it was closed to the public due to a trip scheduled soon, but the next day we went back and toured the ship, it was super cool, there are active service U.S. Navy crew members all over the ship talking about it and doing various jobs of some sort.

- Old North Church
- Paul Revere House
- Old South Meeting House
- Boston Massacere Site
- Old State House
- Faneuil Hall
- U.S.S. Constitution (next day)
After the U.S.S. Constitution visit attempt, we went to the Old North Church, (please let me set the record straight, it is not worth five dollars per person). Then, we went to the Paul Revere House, which was one of my favorite places we went to the entire day, you walk in on the first floor, then after touring some of the first floor (about half of the house is missing due to a apartment building next door) you go up some very small stairs and tour the middle floor (the attic is closed to the public due to the apartment building next door) and then you go outside onto a bridge to a gift shop and visitor center. Then we went to the Old South Meeting House (actually the Old South Church) and in my opinion it was about the same as the Old North Church.
Then, after the Old South Meeting House, we went to the Boston Massacere Site (the site is now located in the middle of a five way intersection, so it the memorial was relocated by about 30'). After the Boston Massacere Site, we went to the Old State House, which back when Massachusetts was a colony, was where the governor lived and worked. Then, after the Old State House, we went to Faneuil Hall (which is a souvenir mall on the first floor) was actually where the planning of the Boston Tea Party started before being moved to the Old South Church.
